Furniture & Home Accessories Buyer
Position Responsibilities
Develop / source our first range of offerings (from furniture to all home related accessories)
Source new suppliers (domestically and abroad)
Identify emerging furniture and home furnishings trends and work to develop business strategies outlining strengths, weaknesses, new opportunities and threats
Perform market analysis, competitive shop and analyze sales trends to keep abreast of current trends
Admin and research related tasks
Position Requirements
5+ years working in the furniture industry, ideally for IKEA or similar in China/Hong Kong or Taiwan
Experience negotiating with vendors
Understands the Chinese consumer and future furniture trends
Has a keen eye for design and quality
Bilingual ‒ Fluent in Mandarin + English, both reading and writing
University educated
Ideally has spent time abroad
