Media Relations Specialist
We are looking for a qualified Media Relations’ Specialist to join Bitmain’s International PR and Marketing team in Beijing. You will be responsible for protecting and promoting Bitmain’s image. You will be proactive and resourceful in sourcing news from Bitmain’s various offices worldwide and building and maintaining a network of journalists and social network to which these stories can be sold. The job will require tight management skills and extensive relationship management skills.
Position Responsibilities
Proactively develop and nurture relationships with media outlets and journalists.
Handle inbound media inquiries.
Identify and visit conferences and events that have high media participation.
Promote Bitmain’s hardware products, especially the Antminer series, through the above.
Organize press conferences/events when needed.
Develop proactive media story-lines.
Draft press releases.
Regularly perform other roles within the international marketing team, such as online ads, social media marketing, SEO, etc.
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with demonstrable relationship management skills and a deep understanding of PR. As a Media Relations’ Specialist, you should perform well under pressure and be detail-oriented. If you are also a cryptocurrency enthusiast or a cypherpunk, we would surely like to connect with you.
Native fluency in English. Mandarin knowledge is a plus.
1-4 years of marketing/PR experience with a history of accomplishments achieved through management of relationships. Successful sales’ experiences will also be considered.
Strong interpersonal skills including ability to negotiate and influence others both internally and externally
A technology fiend who easily understands new technologies and quickly see the news’ angle to them.
Experience of working in startups/rapidly changing environments. Willing to multi-task on a regular basis.
Experience of working or living abroad, preferably in China.
Preferred – Knowledge of cryptocurrencies or a cryptocurrency user/holder him/herself
