Now that the burn has fully subsided from our Hot and Spicy Festival last month, we ride the success of that inaugural outing and move back to familiar ground with the announcement of our sixth Burger Festival! This year's event will take place in what has become our home turf: Galaxy Soho on the weekend of June 16-17.
Last year's event attracted close to 20,000 hungry fans of all things burger (proven by half the vendors selling out on the first day) and this year we hope to outdo ourselves once again with our best festival in honor of the humble combination of meat and buns yet.
With less than a month to go, we've already completely sold out of booths, which means there are already 40 burger vendors and 20 drinks vendors working away to bring you the best of their meaty and thirst-quenching products. There'll also be ice cream, juice, and other refreshments to keep you feasting to your heart's content.
Whereas 2017 was a celebration of burgers and the Wild West, 2018's Beijing Burger Fest is all about rock 'n' roll. Expect high-energy performances and music and enough grub and drinks to keep you pogoing throughout the weekend. Those will include the finest line-up of Beijing's rock and blues bands, a selection of rock bands from the city's international schools, a rock 'n' roll karaoke contest (start practicing that growl now), and a kids area so that the young'uns don't miss out on all the devil-horned fun.

Alsooooo, Sing to Win 2 Return Tix to Europe at BJ Burger Festival!
Now that you're suitably pumped, here's what you need to know about the contest:
Each day (Saturday and Sunday) will have a standalone contest with a prize of one return flight for the two lucky winners.
Each contest is made up of three rounds and five contestants who will need to rock, sweat, and woo the crowd with their very best rock 'n' roll KTV singing, crooning, growling, and rrroarrring. It won't hurt if there's a costume/air guitar/acrobatics thrown in the mix too.
At the end of each round, the crowd and the on-stage band will determine who should win. They'll do this by rocking out themselves and making as much noise as possible for their favorite contestant. We'll have an on-site decibel reader to determine who gets the loudest cheers (it's science!).
Et voila! The last person standing will win themselves a free ticket to anywhere in Europe – it couldn't be simpler!
If you'd like to enter the competition, all you need to do is to send a video of your singing chops to marketingteam@truerun.com that'll convince us you're the star China's stage has always been missing. You don't necessarily have to be a good singer, we're looking for people with a no-nonsense, fun, and perhaps slightly unhinged personality that can get the crowd jumping. Entrance to the competition will end at midnight on Sunday, Jun 10.
