Lead Mentor
Role Description:
Lead Mentors are the driving force behind the Dyad.com mentorship platform which has helped students earn over $27 million in university scholarships.
Lead Mentors are the chief link between Dyad Scholars, remote Academic Mentors, and Dyad HQ. Lead Mentorsdesign curriculum, deliver engaging lessons, ensure Scholar progress, and provide an outstanding learning experience for motivated and coachable students.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Mentor Scholars:
● Deliver instruction on academic, extra-curricular and admissions-related subjects
● Create Scholar Journey Timelines and conduct check-in calls to guide Scholar progress
● Hold Office Hours to answer Scholar queries
● Attend Welcome Lunches to inspire new Scholars
Oversee Scholars Progress
● Track Scholar Journey and progress, ensuring Scholars meet all deadlines
● Provide context and briefing information on Scholars to both the Scholar Success Coordinator and Academic / Specialist Mentors
● Gather and curate Mentor and Scholar feedback to enhance the learning experience
Develop Curriculum:
● Develop lesson plans and build Dyad curriculum
● Participate in regular curriculum reviews to bolster Dyad’s impact
● Shepherd R&D by conducting trial lessons and consistently iterating
Requirements:
● Passionate educator with motivated, reliable, and energetic personality.
● Bachelor’s degree; Masters or advanced degrees preferred.
● Native English speakers from the US, UK, or Canada.
● Teaching or Tutoring experience; teaching certificate preferred.
