About AISG
AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF GUANGZHOU. Founded in 1981, the American International School of Guangzhou (AISG) is a fully WASC-accredited school that offers American Diploma (PYP and DP, respectively) and International Baccalaureate Primary Years programs.
The School is the oldest and most well-established in Southeast China, with 1,000+ students spread across two growing campuses (grades PS-5 on the Elementary School Campus and 6-12 on the Middle/High School Campus).

Graphic Designer
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for the layout and design of all online and print marketing communications, coordinating all print/production projects as assigned.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a graphic designer who can collaborate with our team to bring our school’s voice, stories, and mission to life. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in graphic design with a passion for branding, brand identity, and creating visual systems across digital and offline media.
The successful applicant will be an exceptional visual designer who will seamlessly integrate both design and print output for all marketing materials. They will collaborate with the School’s teams to deliver high quality products that are designed and delivered effectively.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Own and improve the School’s branding initiatives and all related material output;
• Produce the design and production for the School’s online materials, including but not limited to, websites, product graphics, web logos, social media graphics and banners, static and rich banner ads, email campaigns, and email templates;
• Oversee the design and production of the School’s print materials, including but not limited to, school magazines, annual reports, and campus signage;
• Implement product positioning, existing research, and offline/online marketing strategies into effective designs;
• Identify and understand different stakeholder audiences, adapting design material to suit these nuances, when necessary;
• Establish new print and online standards and parameters for the School’s employees to work within;
• Create and maintain a print and web design schedule for the School;
• Coordinate all production requests, monitor production timelines and liaise with outside production vendors and internal purchasing departments;
• Perform regular troubleshooting or resolution work as needed;
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Advancement and Communications.
Position Requirements
• University graduate, or equivalent training and experience in layout and design;
• Significant experience with a variety of media (print, motion, web) including a fluency in Adobe software programs such as InDesign, PageMaker, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office programs;
• Fluency in English and Chinese preferred;
• Possesses a passion for visual design and learning new methods of designing print and digital experiences;
• Understanding of changing technical standards and implementation in both print and online material;
• Knowledge and experience with major social media networks;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community;
• Ability to work under deadline pressure;
• Ability to handle several assignments simultaneously;
• Strong organizations skills, self-motivated, and creative;
• Attention to detail.
