About Am Cham
The American Chamber of Commerce in the People's Republic of China is a non-profit, non-governmental organization whose membership comprises more than 3,300 individuals from 800 companies operating across China. The chamber's nationwide mission is to help American companies succeed in China through advocacy, information, networking and business support services. AmCham China is the only officially recognized chamber of commerce representing American business in mainland China. With offices in Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian, Shenyang and Wuhan, AmCham China has more than 50 working groups, and holds more than 250 events each year.

Account Manager
Location: Beijing
This is an exceptional, unique opportunity for a young professional with 3+ years of experience to join AmCham China’s Membership Services team. This position offers the selected candidate with an exceptional opportunity to interact with mid to senior management at hundreds of large, medium and small foreign companies operating in China.
Manage member relations across the member lifecycle from new member recruitment through membership renewals. Significant focus on new membership recruitment for targeted sectors and member segments. Build, maintain, and enhance AmCham’s understanding of and relationship with members through daily interactions with member and member companies. Leverage existing and new data analytic tools to understand membership engagement and trends.
Duties and responsibilities
• Responsible for member accounts covering assigned sectors and member segments
• Generate, qualify and convert potential new members to achieve annual targets
• Guide members quickly and smoothly from membership application to on-boarding
• Ensure engagement through interactions with members and teams across AmCham
• Support membership renewals and anticipate challenges well before renewal time
• Use member data and provide insightful reports
• Coordinate with other membership-related programs, events and promotional campaigns
Position Requirements
• At least Bachelor’s degree with three years of working experience, preferably in sales, business development, marketing, or client / customer service role
• Fluent in English with intermediate to advanced mandarin highly preferred
• Experienced with client interaction via telephone, email and face-to-face meetings.
• Self-directed, motivated team player with exceptional multi-tasking abilities
• Pleasant, outgoing personality who is a natural team player with can-do attitude
• Familiarity with sales methodology and tools; an ability to convert “no” to “yes”
• Comfortable managing and making sense ofdata to create insights
• Ability to use Office-suite software

Business Development Manager
Location: Beijing
The Business Development Manager promotes AmCham China’s full suite of value and services to large corporate members and new prospects. Coordinates closely with other AmCham China leaders to offer members AmCham value including annual membership, sponsorship opportunities, training programs, visa services and other value added services.
Duties and responsibilities:
Business Development and Sales
Manage a sales funnel (pipeline) for sponsorship, training, visa and other services
Prospect for new members in coordination with Membership Director and President
Identify and close sponsorship for large signature events held throughout the year
Cultivate trusted relationships with executives of new/current member companies
Understand the needs, priorities and budgets for targeted large corporate members
Propose AmCham offerings based on understanding of member needs and priorities
Effectively communicate value of AmCham services to new and current members
Facilitate meetings with member decision-makers and AmCham leadership
Provide feedback from members to AmCham leadership in a timely manner
Develop creative solutions to suit and overcome member budget constraints
Strategy and Planning
Create revenue strategies and plans in coordination with AmCham leadership
Develop strategies and account plans for targeted groups of member companies
Attend industry events and conferences to prospect and identify market trends
Consult with senior management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products and distribution channels
Identify opportunities for campaigns and channels that lead to an increase in sales
Use knowledge of market and competitors to fine tune AmCham service offerings
Key Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years sales and marketing experience focused on large corporations
Experience in account planning, targeting prospects and sales management
Proven ability to propose, overcome opposition and sell range of services
Extroverted, natural networker, trustworthy and highly personable
Well organized, self-starter with ability to set and meet goals
Ability to work independently
Fluency in English required, strong Mandarin Chinese highly preferred
Working experience in an international office setting
Strong team player
Bachelor or above
