Responsibilities
Government Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government officials, agencies, and stakeholders at the local, regional, and national levels.
Policy Advocacy: Monitor and analyze government policies, regulations, and legislation affecting the company. Advocate for policies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company’s operations comply with all relevant government regulations. Provide guidance on regulatory changes and their impact on the business.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive government affairs strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives. Identify opportunities and risks related to government actions.
Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and government officials. Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and policy briefs to senior management and government entities.
Crisis Management: Lead government-related crisis management efforts, ensuring that the company’s interests are protected in the face of regulatory or political challenges.
Partnership Development: Identify and develop strategic partnerships with government bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders to advance the company’s interests.
Representation: Represent the company at government meetings, industry events, and other public forums. Ensure the company’s perspective is communicated effectively.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing government affairs team. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.
HIRING
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
Experience: At least 10 years of experience in global government affairs, public policy, or a related field, with a strong track record in Middle East.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Saudi political landscape, government structures, and regulatory environment. Familiarity with key policy issues affecting the industry.
Skills: Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to build and maintain high-level relationships with government officials.
Leadership: Proven leadership experience with the ability to influence and drive change at the highest levels of government and within the organization.
Language: Fluency in English, both written and spoken, Arabic is big plus.
