On July 11, a special online Hainan FTP Thailand promotion conference jointly organized by the Hainan International Economic Development Bureau, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Hainan Province, and SMEC International Exhibition Co., Ltd. was staged to deepen the cooperation between Hainan and Thailand in various fields.

The promotion meeting was held online. The relevant person in charge of the Hainan IEDB introduced the preferential policies, investment opportunities and business environment of Hainan Free Trade Port to more than 300 representatives of Thai institutions and enterprises, and invited them to participate in the China International Consumer Goods Expo which is to be held in Hainan in 2021. This move aims at building a platform for Thai products to enter the Chinese market and introduce high-quality Thai brands into China. Moreover, Thai companies are invited to settle in the Window of Global Trade and to set up the "Thailand-Hainan FTP SME Cooperation Platform". Hainan will provide one-stop service for Thai companies to do business and invest in Hainan.

Representatives of various parties in Thailand thought highly of China - Thailand friendship. They said that the trade exchanges between the two countries had been continuously strengthened, and exchanges in the fields of culture and tourism were active. They hoped they could seize the opportunity of Hainan FTP construction to expand regional trade cooperation in duty-free commodities, tourism, aviation, agriculture and finance, and seek mutual development with the Hainan FTP.
