I. China-Senegal Relations:
From Strategic Partners to
a Community with a Shared Future
中国与塞内加尔自2005年复交以来，关系持续深化。2024年，塞内加尔总统法耶访华期间，两国签署《深化全面战略合作伙伴关系、构建高水平命运共同体的联合声明》，明确在“一带一路”合作、全球发展倡议、全球安全倡议框架下深化合作。塞内加尔坚定支持一个中国原则，中方则支持塞内加尔主办2026年达喀尔夏季青年奥林匹克运动会，并承诺在农业、工业、基础设施等领域提供支持。双方还计划加强在数字经济、绿色发展、蓝色经济等新兴领域的合作，为塞内加尔青年提供更多发展机遇。
Since the resumption of diplomatic relations between China and Senegal in 2005, relations have continued to deepen. In 2024, during Senegalese President Faye's visit to China, the two countries signed the "Joint Statement on Deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and Building a High-level Community with a Shared Future", clearly stating that they would deepen cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative. Senegal firmly supports the One-China principle. China, in turn, supports Senegal in hosting the 2026 Dakar Summer Youth Olympic Games and has committed to providing support in areas such as agriculture, industry and infrastructure. The two sides also plan to enhance cooperation in emerging fields such as the digital economy, green development and the blue economy, providing more development opportunities for Senegalese youth.

随着中塞合作的深化，塞内加尔人来华工作机会显著增加。

With the deepening of China-Senegal cooperation, the job opportunities for Senegalese people in China have significantly increased.
Infrastructure construction: Chinese enterprises participating in projects such as roads, Bridges and ports in Senegal need engineers and translators who are familiar with the local language and culture. Senegalese professionals can participate in project management and coordination, or work in the offices of Chinese enterprises in Senegal.
Trade and Investment: Senegal is an important trading partner of China in Africa, and the two sides have close cooperation in agricultural products such as peanuts and fishery. China has become a popular destination for Senegalese students studying abroad.
Scholarships and Further Studies:
The Chinese government offers scholarships to Senegalese students, covering fields such as medicine, satellites, aviation, mathematics, science, engineering, and information and communication technology. Senegalese students can learn Chinese through Confucius Institutes, laying a foundation for studying or working in China.
Short-term exchange and internship: Student exchange programs are launched between Chinese and Senegalese universities. Senegalese students can come to China for short-term study or internship to experience China's technological development and the convenience of life.
Vocational training and skills Enhancement:

四、签证办理指南：简化流程与注意事项
Iv. Visa Application Guide: Simplified Procedures and Precautions
塞内加尔公民来华需申请相应签证，流程如下：
确定签证类型：
旅游签证（L签）：短期旅行，停留期30-90天可选。
商务签证（M签）：商务活动，首次最长90天，单次入境。
工作签证（Z签）：需中国单位聘用，停留期按许可批复。
学习签证（X签）：留学申请，短期≤180天，长期＞1年。
准备材料：
护照（有效期≥6个月）及复印件。
填写完整的签证申请表，附照片。
根据签证类型提供邀请函、在职证明、录取通知书、JW201/202表等。
在线申请与预约：登录中国签证申请服务中心官网，填写个人信息并预约提交时间。
提交申请、缴费：携带材料前往使领馆或签证中心，缴纳费用。
等待审批、领取：审批时间3-5个工作日（旅游/商务/学习/探亲）或30-40个工作日（工作签证）。
领取签证时核对信息，如有问题及时联系使领馆。
Senegalese citizens coming to China need to apply for the corresponding visa. The process is as follows:
Determine the visa type:
Tourist Visa (L visa) : Short-term travel, with an optional stay period of 30 to 90 days.
Business Visa (M Visa) : For business activities, the maximum duration for the first entry is 90 days, with a single entry.
Work Visa (Z Visa) : Must be employed by a Chinese organization, and the duration of stay is in accordance with the approved permit.
Study Visa (X Visa) : Study abroad application, short-term ≤180 days, long-term > 1 year.
Prepare the following materials:
Passport (valid for at least 6 months) and its copy.
Fill out the complete visa application form with a photo attached.
Provide the invitation letter, employment certificate, admission notice, JW201/202 form, etc. according to the visa type.
Online application and appointment:
Log in to the official website of the China Visa Application Service Center, fill in your personal information and make an appointment for the submission time.
Submission of application and payment:
Take the materials to the embassy, consulate or visa center and pay the fee.
Waiting for approval and collection: The approval time is 3 to 5 working days (for tourism/business/study/visiting relatives) or 30 to 40 working days (for work visas).
When collecting the visa, check the information. If there are any problems, contact the embassy or consulate in time.
