2024年，中布关系迎来历史性突破，两国元首宣布将双边关系提升至全面战略伙伴关系，标志着双方合作进入新阶段。近年来，中非合作论坛北京峰会成果持续落地，中国成为布隆迪最大的贸易进口国，2024年双边贸易额达8.04亿元人民币，同比增长0.5%。中国向布隆迪出口机械器具、电气设备等，同时从布进口茶叶、矿产等初级农产品。
在基建领域，中国援建的胡济巴济水电站、布琼布拉至尼罗河公路等项目为当地发展注入动力；农业合作方面，中国援布农业专家组已派遣五期，带动142户村民种植杂交稻超225公顷，户均年增收超4200美元。布隆迪青年克劳德更赴中国重庆西南大学学习马铃薯种植技术，计划回国推广合作社模式，助力农业现代化。
In 2024, China-Burundi relations witnessed a historic breakthrough. The heads of state of the two countries announced the elevation of bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership, marking a new stage in their cooperation. In recent years, the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation have been continuously implemented. China has become Burundi's largest trade importer. In 2024, the bilateral trade volume reached 804 million yuan, an increase of 0.5% year-on-year. China exports machinery, appliances, electrical equipment, etc. to Burundi, and at the same time imports primary agricultural products such as tea and minerals from Burundi.
In the field of infrastructure construction, projects such as the Huji Baji Hydropower Station and the Bujumbura to Nile Highway, which were built with China's assistance, have injected impetus into local development. In terms of agricultural cooperation, the Chinese agricultural expert team to Burundi has been dispatched five times, driving 142 villagers to plant over 225 hectares of hybrid rice, with an average annual income increase of over 4,200 US dollars per household. Claude, a young man from Burundi, went to Southwest University in Chongqing, China to learn potato planting techniques and plans to return to China to promote the cooperative model and contribute to agricultural modernization.

确定签证类型：
工作签证（Z签）：需中国境内单位出具的《外国人工作许可通知》及邀请函。
学习签证（X签）：需中国高校录取通知书及《外国留学人员来华签证申请表》（JW201/202表）。
商务签证（M签）：需中国公司邀请函及在华活动日程。
准备材料：
有效期6个月以上的护照及复印件。
签证申请表（在线填写后打印）及近期白底免冠照片。
根据签证类型补充材料，如工作许可通知、录取通知书等。
提交申请与审核：
通过中国驻布隆迪大使馆官网或指定平台预约递交材料。
审核时长：旅游、商务、学习签证约3-5个工作日，工作签证约30-40个工作日。
领取签证：审核通过后，可按约定方式领取护照及签证。
Burundian citizens coming to China need to apply for the corresponding visa according to their purpose. The process is as follows:
Determine the visa type:
Work Visa (Z visa) : A "Notice of Work Permit for Foreigners" and an invitation letter issued by an entity within China are required.
Study visa (X visa) : An admission notice from a Chinese university and the "Visa Application Form for Foreign Students to Study in China" (JW201/202 form) are required.
Business Visa (M Visa) : An invitation letter from a Chinese company and a schedule of activities in China are required.
Prepare the materials:
A passport valid for more than 6 months and its copy.
Visa application form (filled out online and printed) and a recent white-background, bareheaded photo.
Supplement materials according to the visa type, such as work permit notices, admission notices, etc.
Submission of application and review:
Make an appointment to submit materials through the official website of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Burundi or the designated platform.
Review duration: Approximately 3 to 5 working days for tourist, business and study visas, and about 30 to 40 working days for work visas.
Visa collection: After the review is approved, you can collect your passport and visa in the agreed manner.
