12月11日，联合国安理会就也门局势召开会议。中方代表在发言中呼吁也门冲突各方采取实际行动，共同推进解决也门问题的政治进程。

负责人道主义事务的联合国副秘书长兼紧急救援协调员弗莱彻指出，也门仍然处于内部冲突的阴影之下，同时面临着区域紧张局势的升级、不断恶化的经济以及对联合国和人道主义工作人员安全的威胁，目前该国急需约25亿美元人道主义资金。

以色列与胡塞武装一直在相互袭击，以方日前还称考虑对也门发动新的大规模袭击，事态发展令人深感担忧。与此同时，近日叙利亚局势的急剧转变，给整个中东地区带来了新的不稳定因素，也门和红海局势也有可能遭受新的冲击。中方再次呼吁胡塞武装停止袭扰红海水域的各国商船，维护红海水域航道的安全，同时呼吁有关各方保持冷静克制，停止加剧紧张局势的行动。

中国常驻联合国副代表表示：我愿再次呼吁有关各方保持克制，不要采取导致局势升级的行动，强调也门的主权、安全和领土完整应得到尊重，重申也门问题最终要靠政治解决。当前和平进程停滞，不符合也门人民的长远和根本利益，各方应展现政治意愿，采取实际行动，逐步积累互信，为重启对话创造条件，共同推进“也人主导，也人所有”的全面政治进程。

On December 11th, the United Nations Security Council held a meeting on the situation in Yemen. The Chinese representative called on all parties involved in the Yemen conflict to take practical actions and jointly promote the political process of resolving the Yemen issue in their speech. 

UN Under Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Fletcher pointed out that Yemen is still under the shadow of internal conflict, facing escalating regional tensions, deteriorating economy, and threats to the safety of UN and humanitarian workers. Currently, the country urgently needs about $2.5 billion in humanitarian funding. 

Israel and the Houthis have been attacking each other, and Israel recently stated that it is considering launching a new large-scale attack on Yemen. The development of the situation is deeply concerning. At the same time, the recent sharp change in the situation in Syria has brought new instability factors to the entire Middle East region, and the situation in Yemen and the Red Sea may also face new impacts. The Chinese side once again calls on the Houthi armed forces to stop harassing merchant ships of various countries in the Red Sea waters, maintain the safety of the Red Sea waterway, and call on all parties concerned to remain calm and restrained, and stop actions that exacerbate tensions. 

The Deputy Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations stated: I would like to once again call on all parties concerned to exercise restraint and refrain from taking actions that could escalate the situation. I emphasize that Yemen's sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity should be respected, and reiterate that the ultimate solution to the Yemen issue lies in political means.
