About BritCham Guangdong
Education Working Group
BritCham has been supporting its many members from the education sector through business networking, social events and knowledge sharing. In 2022, in response to a growing membership and an increasing demand for such services from its education sector members, the Education Working Group (EWG) was established. As its name suggests, the EWG focuses on all “things education” via a range of dedicated events and additional online and offline offerings. These have included, over the past year, targeted roundtables, an online webinar series, networking brunches and various social events.
The EWG is chaired by an active Chair and two Vice-Chairs, seasoned professionals with deep experience in the British education sector in China. The EWG provides a solid platform for all BritCham education sector members to keep up-to-date on developments affecting the sector, to share best practices and to expand networks.
In 2023 the EWG delivered its hugely successful online seminar series, a collection of 16 online events delivered by leading experts across subjects such as Understanding Montessori Education in the China Context, Evaluating a Lesson through Classroom Observation and Bringing a Lens of Sustainability and Global Citizenship into the Classroom and Everyday Lives of Students. Due to the overwhelmingly positive response within the industry, the EWG is now planning its 2024 Online Series and is seeking your involvement and support.
