Countrywide: The State Council Extends New Year Holiday till Feb 2!
Hubei province
Hubei Province on Wednesday announced to extend the Spring Festival holiday for enterprises and postpone school openings in its fight against the novel coronavirus epidemic.
Hubei, the epicenter of the epidemic, extended the holiday for company staff to Feb. 13, Hubei Governor Wang Xiaodong told a press briefing on Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, all local schools will postpone the opening of the spring semester until further notice as the province is in a critical period of the epidemic control, he said.
Guangdong province
On Tuesday, the People's Government of Guangdong Province issued a notice.
The notice specifies that the resumption of work for various enterprises in the administrative region shall be no earlier than 24:00 on February 9.
Schools and kindergartens in the administrative region will not open before February 17. Colleges and universities, secondary vocational schools, technical schools will not open before February 24.
Shanghai city
Shanghai on Monday postponed the resumption of work and school openings to reduce people gathering and block the spread of the coronavirus epidemic.
The decision was made after the State Council.
All kinds of local enterprises, except those in the sectors such as utilities, medical appliances and drugs, supermarkets and food, shall not resume their work earlier than the midnight of Feb. 9, Shanghai's authorities said during a press conference on Monday afternoon.
Schools at all levels, including universities, primary and middle schools and kindergartens, shall not open before Feb. 17. The specific date will be announced later.
Zhejiang province
All kinds of local enterprises, except those in the sectors such as utilities, medical appliances and drugs, supermarkets and food, shall not resume their work earlier than the midnight of Feb. 9
Jiangning District, Nanjing
All kinds of local enterprises, except those in the sectors such as utilities, medical appliances and drugs, supermarkets and food, shall not resume their work earlier than the midnight of Feb. 10.
