1. Visa Issue

When you have no destination visa, please do not try to import to China or to abroad.

We are not sure about other countries, but quite sure about China, the customs just simply check whether your visa is valid and the validity meets the requirments 12 full months. If you don't follow, it will end up with paying a lot of extra money and a lot of extra effforts. Or even end up with can't get your goods cleared.

One of our experinces also demonstrated if you have no destination visa, your goods couldn't be cleared from customs. The goods was stuck at the port for about 1 year, becasue the client took a long time to get the visa.

So, when you do international move please do check with your relocation/moving consultant to know clearly about the destination part and follow their instructions when you are not moving to your home country.

2. Tax and Duty

Different Country has different rules for tax and duty.

There are many countries don't need to pay tax and duty if you have a work permit or visa of those countries.

For example:

USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Austria, The Netherland,Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Turkey, Switzerland, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia,Jamaica and so on.

There are many countries need to pay tax and duty even though you have a work or a visa of those countries:

For example:

India, Russia, China, Vietnam, The Philippines and so on.

In these countries, Russia is the most expensive one, they charge tax/duty by KG. There is exemption if you meet the requirements, however when exceeds the exemption, they will charge 4 EURO/KG for tax and duty.

For moving into China, we suggest client do not take eletronic products becsuae China has tax an duty on most of the electronic products.

Please note above situation all based on sending the personal effects by the personal effects way all came from our experiences.
