Now it's the season many people moving out or are preparing the coming relocation .
Following is some information for you to understand which way is better for you to send out personal goods from China to the other country.
As we all know there are 3 ways of sending your goods to abroad: By Air, By Sea and By Land (To HongKong and Macau).
1.When you sending a few boxes to abroad. There will be following situations:
A. If you just have 1-3 regular boxes (60*50*50mm), don't bother, just take them as your luggages.What you can do is check with the airline you have booked or are going to book to know how much they charge for extra luggages and is there a limit (The limit here means the maximum weight of the luggage includes the weight of compulsory luggages) for everyone can carry on that plane. Although the unit price seems high, however it's much easier and cost effective than sending by the personal effects way since there are minimum services charges both in origin and destination for sending by land, air and sea. What you can do to spend less is to choose the most valuable things to take with you, and sell, give away or leave the things easy or cheap to buy in destination country.
B.When you have 4-9 regular boxes(60*50*50 cm), means your goods are less than 300KG( the calculating base is the volumetric weight and the actual weight which one is higher) you can choose to sending by air. One way is the International Express like DHL, FedEx ,UPS and so on; the other way is sending through the International Moving Company. Please do confirm with both of them it's door to door services and they will help you do the customs clearance of both sides. C. When your goods is around 10-15 boxes, you still can consider send out by air if you have a tight schelue and you need to receive your goods soon. Sicne when you send goods to abroad by air around or above 300 KG, the destination full services cost is similar with sending by sea and the total price has no big difference.
D. When your goods is above 15 boxes but less than 20 boxes, it's around 3CBM with pallets (The minimum charges of sending as International shipment). The best way is sending out by sea as LCL shipment.
2. When your goods volume is bettween 3-12 CBM, we normally sending out by sea as LCL shipement.
3. When your goods volume is above 12 CBM, we normally sending out by sea as FCL shipement, we will use the 20ft container ( Normally we can load 26CBM net household goods), but this is depends on which country you are moving to.
4. When your goods volume is above 30 CBM but less than 40 CBM, we sugget you to downsize what you have to make it can fit in a 20ft container.
5. When your goods above 40 CBM. We will send out by 40ft container. However if you have more than one container, we will arrnage more container as your goods require.
Note for the customs clearance:
China part:
Please make sure your Chinese work permit and residence visa's validity is at least one full year .
Destination Part:
Get the destination country's residence visa and all the customs clearance related documents ready before the shipment arrive the destination port, or we can't do the customs clearance, and your goods will be stuck in the port and it will cause extra charges like demurrage and port charges and so on.

Remarks：
If you are planning to move recently, please ask your moving company prepare as above. Please note some componds already allow the moving truck go into the compond, some are not allow. The best way is check with your property management office to get the detailed information sicne different compounds has different rules.
