Operations Coordinator
What you will be doing
As Operations Coordinator, you will execute operational logistics requirements necessary for the successful import and/or export of orders as accepted by STC, to the customer’s satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute logistics requirements necessary for the successful export and/or import of orders as accepted by STC, to the customer’s satisfaction; Accomplish tasks before deadline given by Operations Supervisor/manager if applicable.
Manage day-to-day operational emergencies in your area and to inform Operations Manager of any serious incidents.
Work cooperatively with colleagues to balance workloads, resulting in the effective and timely updating of necessary information, customer communication, freight billing, collections and documentation requirements.
Assist the Operations Manager with weekly, monthly and end of month activities demanded by the business and assist with resolution of any cost control or invoicing issues.
Qualifications
College/University degree preferred.
Minimum 1 year operations experience in the tank container industry or very comparable alternative.
Fluent English and Mandarin.
Strong international experience, and awareness of cultures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be ethical, impartial, organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize, and set goals.

Team Lead
What you will be doing
As the Operations Team Lead, you'll lead with exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Championing a customer-centric approach, you'll ensure efficient handling of operational activities with a focus on meticulous quality control in import and export processes. You’ll work closely with the Operations Manager to enhance operational efficiency and serve as the main point of contact for operations coordinators during escalations.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight – Efficiently execute, oversee, and coordinate day-to-day department operations. Equitably distribute workloads, allocate resources, and assign tasks for maximum efficiency:
Monitor team performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring operations coordinators meet established goals and standards
Identify improvement areas and implement corrective actions, resolving operational issues promptly
Learn from challenges, applying lessons to maintain updated standard operating procedures (SOPs), customer playbooks, and documentation templates
Keep the Operations Manager informed on daily department activities.
Team Leadership – Cultivate a positive, collaborative team culture:
Conduct regular team meetings to discuss goals, priorities, and challenges, using constructive feedback for continuous improvement
Actively support team members in their growth and goal attainment, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishment
Onboard new employees and serve as a coach for successful training adoption and implementation, providing training on work processes and customer specifics.
Exemplify Leadership – Champion the execution of operational activities, leading by demonstrating strong work ethics and commitment to team goals:
Stay updated on new digital tools and system updates. Ensure effective communication of operational updates, facilitating communication between team members and other departments
Be approachable and available to address concerns or questions.
Compliance & Safety – Contribute to identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions in events:
Uphold compliance with industry regulations and safety standards, consistently executing activities within STC's quality management system
Act as a key escalation point for internal stakeholders and team members.
Qualifications
College degree preferred.
Must have 2 years of experience working in a logistics/shipping company in a similar role or 5 years of experience working in a logistics/shipping company in a similar position.
Must have knowledge of the logistics industry and transportation networks in their relevant region.
Leadership – Strong leadership acumen, fostering a collaborative team culture and guiding operations coordinators to achieve peak performance.
Language Skills – Fluent in English and preferably 1 regional language.
Communication – Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively convey information to suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
Team Player – Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Attention to Detail – Meticulous in maintaining accurate documentation with a keen eye for identifying errors and discrepancies.
Problem Solving – Ability to actively engage in problem resolution with a capacity to think critically and propose solution.
