Realogistics transported powdered cargo for a customer.

Realogistics provided end-to-end air freight services for a VIP customer, shipping powdered metal from Canada. While the customer has been a long-term partner, previously imported goods from the US or Singapore. This year, we started offering import services from Canada, providing more options for our customer.

II. Shipping Challenge: 

Powdered metal is a high-density powder and requires security clearance in Canada before delivery to the airline. Without proper clearance, the airline will not accept the shipment.

III. Solution: 

Upon learning about the customer's needs, we immediately discussed with our foreign agents and worked tirelessly to find a qualified warehouse that could provide security clearance services. Eventually, we successfully developed an air freight solution from YVR to CAN, providing multiple transportation services for the customer, all of which were completed smoothly.

IV. Case Summary: 

For powdered cargo, Canadian airlines have specific requirements. Firstly, these goods cannot be screened at the airport and must be delivered to the airport after being screened. Secondly, the airline has strict requirements for the internal packaging of goods, with plastic drums of non-flammable materials being more likely to be accepted. Therefore, when choosing packaging materials, we prioritize the use of such materials to ensure that the goods can be smoothly received and transported.
