DB Cargo's achievements on the Eurasian corridor in 2024.
In 2024, DB Cargo Eurasia (DBCE) and DB Cargo Transasia (DBCT) continued to work hand in hand, achieving new milestones on the Eurasian corridor. DBCE ensured efficient freight train operations, reinforcing its leading position, while DBCT expanded its presence in China, offering innovative logistics solutions and strengthening Asia-Europe connectivity. This year, we built on past successes and made significant progress in service innovation, network expansion, and customer satisfaction. Let's revist the highlights of 2024 and witness DB Cargo's achievements on the Eurasia Corridor.
1. Milestone: Arrival of the 100th Full-time Schedule Train
On February 16, 2024 we celebrated a significant milestone of our star product in cooperation with Xi'an ITL: the arrival of the 100th Full-time Schedule Train from Xi'an to Duisburg! This achievement signals a new era for Eurasian rail freight transport.
2. Election to Member of the Board of the German Chamber of Commerce in China-East China
On March 28th, Frank Schulze, our General Manager of DB Cargo Transasia was officially elected as one of the new Member of the Board of the German Chamber of Commerce in China-East China for the election period of 2024 to 2026.
3. Face-to-Face again: the Transport Logistic China 2024 in Shanghai
On June 25-27th, we had a very productive time at the Transport Logistic China (T&L Expo), meeting many of our existing suppliers and receiving a number of new contacts. In addition, we were honored to welcome an important guest from Germany, Dr. Volker Wissing, the German Federal Minister for Digital and Transport.
4. Expansion of Full-time Schedule Train in 2024
We increased our Full-time Schedule service with Yiwu, Chongqing and Wuhan platform since the beginning of June 2024. With the new weekly train departures we have reached 90% of the Full-time Schedule share in the market.
5. Our South Korea solution
In August, we introduced our new transport route to and from South Korea. This route connects important economic centers in Asia and Europe and offers you even more flexibility and efficiency for your transport needs.
6. New service: E-commerce shipment
Since August, we were pleased to present our innovative transport solution by rail for your e-commerce shipments. Shipping e-commerce products by rail offers you numerous advantages.
7. The 18th China (Shenzhen) International Logistics and Supply Chain Fair
The 18th China (Shenzhen) International Logistics and Supply Chain Fair on September 23-25 was another successful moment in 2024.We achieved a good result jointly with Dorota Zaremba, our Managing director from DB Cargo Border Agent and Gleb Shilov, our Sales director from DB Cargo Eurasia.
8. The first carbon neutralized transport realized
December 2024, the first China Railway Express (Xi'an) Carbon Neutralized Train jointly running by Xi'an ITL and DB Cargo Eurasia, departed from Xi'an, becoming an important milestone in the development of green logistics in the Eurasian corridor and demonstrating the innovation and commitment of both parties in the field of sustainable transportation.
