Background
On the background of capital shortage and slowdown of economic growth,there was a wave of mergers and acquisitions in real estate industry in 2016. In 2017, as to real estate enterprises’ transformation and globalization needs, there is an increasing number of mergers and acquisitions in real estate industry and relating industries so 2017 will definitely be a very significant M&A year for real estate enterprises or projects. Meanwhile, Chinese government has put forward to accelerate the development of small and medium-sized cities and characteristic towns in the national "13th Five-Year" plan. Till 2020, around 1000 town should be formed characterized by such as tourism industry, logistics industry, modern manufacture, educational technology, traditional culture, etc. The construction and development of characteristic towns has become a fashion without doubt.
What will be the real estate market and M&A trends in future? How do developers and investors work together going forward? How should real estate developers cope with the new market environment? What is the overall situation for characteristic towns’ development in first-tier cities, second- and third-tier cities? How do new technologies such as virtual-reality and internet technology affect real estate’s development, investments and operations? How do Chinese investors and developers invest overseas efficiently and safely in the era of capital globalization?……These are just some of the questions facing the perspective investors.
In order to make further communication on the relevant professionals, 2017 Real Estate M&A and Characteristic Town Development Forum (CREC’s 17th Shanghai Forum) is scheduled on Jun 24-25th 2017 in Pudong Shangri-La East Shanghai in Shanghai, China.
