Job Description
Amazon is seeking a Tax Intern to join the Amazon Tax Department for a three-month summer internship program, with the option to extend to six-months depending on performance and academic schedule. The Amazon Tax Department is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment. A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills will be essential for success in this role as s/he will interact with multiple internal tax teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare corporate income and sales & use tax returns, including analyzing and preparing support for tax adjustments.
• Perform tax modeling for various scenarios.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly depreciation and amortization roll forward schedules for domestic, state, and foreign jurisdictions.
• Research and draft responses to notices received by various taxing jurisdictions.
• Compile, organize, and analyze data necessary to support cost segregation studies.
• Special projects as needed.
Basic Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration from an accredited institution, with plans to pursue a Master’s in Taxation or Accountancy degree after graduation.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Currently pursuing a Master’s in Taxation or Accountancy degree, with plans to sit the CPA exam after graduation.
• Strong desire and ability to learn and apply tax technical knowledge.
• Completion of beginning taxation courses.
• Prior public accounting, corporate, or other professional office experience.

Canon, U. S. A., Inc. is currently hiring for our 2015 Canon Insights Intern Program. The Insights Program is a comprehensive program that runs for 10 weeks during the summer. This is a full-time (9 AM to 5 PM), 35 hours a week, paid internship. This program is designed to provide students an opportunity to gain hands-on work experience by participating in significant work projects and exposure to various business units within Canon.
Position is responsible for assisting the marketing department in the creation of marketing materials and sales tools. Position will also be responsible for producing print samples using production equipment.
Responsibilities
• Support the Go-to-Marketing team in the development of marketing materials, print applications samples and sales tools
• Assist in managing and tracking the development of materials for upcoming events
• Research and report on market conditions
Qualifications
We prefer students that are entering their Junior or Senior year as of the Summer 2015, however, all are welcome to apply. Interns will be exposed to problems and opportunities impacting Ameriprise Operations teams. Students will develop a deep understanding of the opportunity through interviews and detailed analysis, and will then create recommendations to improve the situation based on their analysis.
