Forum Background

Chinese Australians, Chinese companies and individuals have always been important participants in Australia's real estate, construction, building materials and relevant industries. They account for 5.5% of the total population, making them one of the larger minority groups. However, in the Australian real estate market, Chinese buyers account for 10%–15% of the total number of buyers in major cities and new housing projects, which highlights their influence beyond their proportion in the population, both in terms of occupancy and investment demand. Over years, the Chinese community and Chinese companies have not only become one of the core buyer groups in Australia, but have also gradually grown into competitive developers and building contractors.


Meanwhile, under the trend of asset allocation globalization and industrial going global, "going global investment" and "product going global" have become two trends of the effective ways to disperse risks and expand the development space for enterprises. It was found that 90.6% of industries have higher gross profit margin in business than domestic gross profit margin. More and more enterprises and individuals are actively exploring various cooperation opportunities overseas, and global layout has become the "second curve" for Chinese enterprises to a breakthrough.


Against the backdrop of Australia's housing shortage, high construction costs and the advocacy of low-carbon and green, the low or zero tariff policies the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement have significantly boosted the price competitiveness of Chinese products in the building materials, prefabricated housing and photovoltaic industries. For, it has opened up new opportunities for the export of modular buildings and prefabricated components; for instance, the latest 16 billion Australian dollar Western Sydney underground tunnel project adopted China-made super large shield tunneling machine, and there are Chinese-related construction enterprises participating in the construction.

Currently, Australia (especially Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Perth and other big cities and surrounding areas):

  • What are the Australian economy market conditions and trends of local real estate, new building materials, construction robots, smart homes, RWA, blockchain trust mechanisms, finance, immigration, etc.?

To systematically address the aforementioned core questions, facilitate in-depth exchanges across real estate industry chain-related fields, and generate cooperation opportunities, the China Real Estate Industry Chain and Overseas Connection Club (abbreviated as "China Real Estate Club") is scheduled to host the "2026 China-Australia Real Estate Investment and Technology Integration Forum" in Brisbane, Australia (host city of the 2032 Olympic Games) in March 2026. This forum aims to empower the vision of "Overseas Expansion of Real Estate & Construction × Symbiosis with AI Technology: A New Pattern of China-Australia Real Estate Investment and Cooperation in the Era of Overseas Going and AI".


The forum will feature in-depth thematic discussions and business matching sessions, providing platforms, channels, and opportunities for enterprises and individuals to expand their markets.
