Great award from the HiFi island. CHROMIUM STYLE 8 won the coveted award in the category "Best Speakers". The reasons for the jury: „German manufacturer Quadral have gained a formidable reputation across Europe for combining excellent sound with value-for-money prices. Their Chromium Style 8 is a true three-way, reflex-ported loudspeaker with titanium-coated drivers handling the bass and midrange, and an aluminium ribbon tweeter reaching 55kHz for fast, detailed treble.
All these go together to produce a seamlessly integrated soundstage with excellent coherence and a natural, rhythmic swing to the music.
Bass goes deep without sounding forced or boomy while the ribbon tweeter has a pin-sharp quality that never strays into harshness. Unerringly musical, the Quadrals get everything right in their presentation. Add in typical German standards of construction and eminently affordable price tag of £ 1750 and the Chromium 8s are hard to beat.“

Die Begründung der Jury: "Der deutsche Hersteller quadral hat sich europaweit einen glänzenden Ruf errabeitet. Er kombiniert hervorragenden Klang mit einem guten Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Die Chromium Style 8 ist ein echter Drei-Wege-Bassreflex-Lautsprecher mit titanbeschichteten Treibern für Bass und Mitteltöner und einem Aluminium-Hochtöner mit 55kHz für schnelle und detailreiche Höhen.
All dies zusammen erzeugt eine breite Klangbühne mit einem natürlichen, rhythmischen „swing“ zur Musik.
Der Bass geht tief, ohne übertrieben oder wuchtig zu klingen, während der Bändchen-Hochtöner glasklare Qualität abliefert, die nie unangenehm wird.
