[2月团队成员故事]从HRCC到RMCC，我在希尔顿的第七年——Amy’s story

说起希尔顿的年度关键词之一“Thrive”，可能很多团队成员都在平时的生活和工作当中围绕着“身体，心灵和精神”或多或少的以自己的方式践行着这一观念。但是真正将“Thrive”的精神融入血液的人，只有她——

接下来让我们进入正题，一起听听Amy为我们讲述她的故事。

Speaking of one of the Hilton annual keywords “Thrive”, it is possible that many team members practice this concept more or less in their daily life and work around "body, mind and spirit", but only her who implanted this initiative into her blood——

Now let’s cut to the chase and hear Amy telling her own story.

问：先给我们简单介绍一下你自己吧！

答：大家好，我是Amy。我曾经就读于浙江大学的旅游管理专业，在大三的时候到香港理工大学做了一个学期的交换生。毕业后，我一直在本行业工作，并于2012年2月加入了希尔顿的大家庭，加入了HRCC。今年2月我正好加入希尔顿满6年。

在HRCC的工作时候，我注意到酒店价格都是浮动的，在生意好和差的时候的价差非常大。也就是在这时候，我了解到“收益管理”这门学科并对此产生了浓厚的兴趣。此后，在工作之余，我在“希尔顿大学”自学了相关的课程。一年多以后，正好RMCC有收益分析员的职位空缺，我就积极申请了内部转岗。

作为区域收益经理，目前我负责5家酒店的收益管理，有中区的宁波东钱湖华茂希尔顿度假酒店，十堰希尔顿逸林酒店，南区的海口鲁能希尔顿酒店，文昌鲁能希尔顿酒店以及北区的乌鲁木齐希尔顿酒店。

Q: Can you give us a brief introduction about yourself?

A: Hello everyone, I’m Amy. I majored in “Tourism management” at Zhejiang University. In my third grade, I studied in Hong Kong Polytechnic University as an exchange students. After graduation, I worked in tourism industry and joined Hilton, HRCC in February 2012. This is my 6th year in Hilton.

When I worked in HRCC, I noticed that the prices of hotel rooms are floating and there’s a huge pricing gap between the peak nights and normal period. That was the time I realized that there are lot of ways a hotel can drive its revenue, such as dynamic pricing, LOS Price, room type control… I’m interested in this field. Then I learned some revenue management related courses in Hilton University in my spare time. After about an year, I applied internal transfer when there was a “Revenue Analyst” position vacancy in RMCC.

As a cluster revenue manager, now I’m supporting 5 hotels in revenue management, including Hilton Ningbo Dongqian Lake Resort, DoubleTree by Hilton Shiyan, Hilton Haikou Meilan, Hilton Wenchang and Hilton Urumqi.

问：就像前面介绍的，你可以说是RMCC里最“Thrive”的人了。经常看你出去骑车，徒步，也组织了外滩跑俱乐部，所以你有什么自己对Thrive独特的理解想给大家分享的？

答：Thrive在我看来是健康工作与生活吧。 保持身心健康，才能更好得工作，更幸福的生活。

关于跑步俱乐部，部门里有几位同事都喜欢跑步，我们就一起组建了跑步俱乐部。在RMCC ，周三一般也是最忙的一天。但是跑完步大家都会觉得精神非常好，因为跑步会分泌“多巴胺”，能传递兴奋及开心的信息。

Q: As previously introduced, you’re probably the most thrived team member in RMCC. We often see you go cycling and hiking, and you started the Running Club. So is there any unique opinion about “Thrive” that you want to share with us?

A: In my opinion, Thrive is all about work-life balance. Stay in good health, both mentally and physically, so that you can have a better status towards work and life.

As for the running club, I like running very much, and I found some colleagues like running too, that was how it started. In RMCC, usually Wednesday are the busiest day. That’s why we usually choose to run along the Bund every Wednesday after work. Because running will secrete "dopamine", which conveys the message of excitement and happiness.

问：你能跟我们分享你近期的的爬山经历吗？也给我们推荐一些江浙沪爬山的好去处呗！

答：去年十二月份去临安天目山爬山，非常幸运遇上了雾凇。如果宅着就不会遇上这么漂亮的风景。

如果你让我推荐爬山的好去处，杭州会是我的首选（高铁一小时内到）。西湖边上的山里非常漂亮。龙井九溪那带，一路茶园。另外如宝石山，吴山都非常适合爬山，从山顶可以饱览整个西湖的景致。都大概只要爬1-2小时。

Q: Can you share your recent hiking experience with us? You can recommend us some nearby hiking destinations too : )

A: Last December I went to Lin’an Tian Mu mountain for hiking, and we were very lucky to see the rime there. It was amazing. And if I chose to stay at home, I won’t have the chance to see such a beautiful scenery.

If you ask me for hiking recommendations, Hangzhou is top destination for its easy access (less than 1 hour by train). I like the Dragon Well area very much for its beautiful tea trees. Besides, Baoshi Hill and Wu Hill are also suitable for hiking, you can see West Lake from top of the hill. It only takes 1-2 hours for the whole hiking process.

问：在之前有一次问卷调查中”Most helpful CRM with Go Hilton”很多人都选了你，你可以给我们推荐一两家你觉得很好的Go Hilton酒店么？

答：哈哈，没有没有，其实我们办公室常常出去玩的同事很多啊，可能我比较喜欢跟大家“分享”，也很喜欢拍照发朋友圈。

分享我最近的Go Hilton 旅行吧， 虽然现在云南旅游名声不是太好，但我还是非常喜欢云南。11月底去云南住的大理实力希尔顿酒店就非常值得推荐。酒店非常大气，在苍山脚，可以远眺洱海，视野非常好。另外办理入住时候前台送上的茶水和鲜花饼，令人感觉非常温暖。离店时候，还有帅气的礼宾部同事帮我把行李送到停车库。丽江实力希尔顿花园酒店和香格里拉实力希尔顿花园酒店也非常好。

海南我也很喜欢，去年跟大学室友也走了一趟，希尔顿在海南酒店蛮多，都很漂亮。除了国庆春节，其他时候员工价都非常好订。

Q: In a previous survey, many people chose you as the “most helpful CRM with Go Hilton”. Can you recommend one or two Go Hilton hotels?

A: Hahah, I just got lucky, actually many colleagues also travel a lot. Maybe it’s because I like sharing, I always post travelling pictures in my WeChat moments.

Despite the negative comments for the tourism in Yunnan province recently, I like Yunnan very much. I’d like to recommend Hilton Dali Resort & Spa which I stayed last November. The hotel nestled in the Cangshan Mountains, offering sweeping views of the mountains and Erhai Lake. Besides, I felt very warm and welcomed with the hot tea and flower cake served at check-in. A handsome colleague from concierge helped me take my luggage to the parking lot when I checked out. HGI Lijiang and HGI Shangri-La are good as well.

Hainan will be my preference too. Last year I traveled to Hainan together with my college roommates. Hilton have lots of well-constructed portfolios here. It’s always easy to book at Go Hilton rate except for public holidays.

不知道大家是否记得，去年12月我们曾经推送过一篇团队成员的采访，从实习生到区域收益经理的Louie在文章里为我们讲述了她与RMCC共同成长的故事，这篇文章也成为了我们2017年点击量最高的文章。

在2018年初关于微信公众号的问卷调查中，我们有一道题，问大家最希望在我们的公众号看到的内容，被点选最多答案就是“RMCC团队成员访谈”。所以今年，我们会把团队成员访谈当成月度专题一直做下去。

下个月我们会采访谁呢？让我们拭目以待吧！

I don’t know if you still remembered, last December we pushed out an article about Louie’s development within RMCC, from intern to cluster revenue manager. This very article has also become our most viewed article in 2017.

In early 2018, we conducted a digital survey asking about users’ reading preference. Among all questions, we had one specifically ask about the contents you want to read in our WeChat account, and the most chosen answer is "RMCC Team Members’ Interview”. Therefore, we will keep it as monthly topics throughout 2018.
