Since 2012, RMCC APAC has provided the most professional Revenue Management services for over 100 Hilton properties in the GCM Region. As the yearly college entrance examination period came to a close, the Chinese market is now approaching the second post-epidemic summer vacation season. Through analysis of last year’s performance and this year’s trend, we have projected an outlook for the upcoming Summer Holidays season.

SUMMER OF 2021


2020年暑期入住率连续3个月环比正增长,其中8月随着北方疫情得到有效控制RMCC酒店入住率超过60%,恢复到19年同期八成水平。今年由于海外疫情加重,出国行仍将延后。随着疫苗接种工作的顺利实行,目前除广东疫情,全国其他地区并未发生新一轮疫情。


今年国内暑期市场预计将延续2020年稳中向好的复苏趋势。我们期待今年暑假延续五一小长假势头,实现同比正增长,甚至超过2019年水平


2020’s Summer Holiday season saw continual and consistent recovery for the majority of domestic hotels. With the epidemic being effectively controlled by the beginning of August, RMCC hotels occupancy exceeded 60%, equating to an 80% recovery of 2019s occupancy


For 2021, overseas travel remains delayed as management of COVID-19 remains a major challenge for many countries. Except Guangdong, effective control of the epidemic in China followed by a robust vaccination program, supports a positive expectation for domestic summer performance. We expect YOY growth which exceed 2019 performance.



南方市场稳中求进,北方市场期待反弹

2020年南方城市恢复强劲。三亚,海口,杭州及成都RevPar实现同比增长。其中三亚增长32%,领跑国内热门市场。但北方地区受疫情影响恢复速度放缓。


今年受广东疫情影响,广州,深圳等城市暑期市场尚不明朗。海南,川渝及江浙沪市场预计保持稳健上涨。北京,大连等北方地区期待强势复苏。


In 2020, South China saw the strongest recovery; with year on year revPAR growth achieved in Sanya, Haikou, Hangzhou and Chengdu. Sanya in particular was the market leader, with 32% YoY growth. As a result of the epidemic outbreak at the start of summer, northern China lagged behind significantly. 


For 2021, affected by the epidemic in Guangdong, leisure demand in Guangzhou and Shenzhen are unpredictable. Hainan, Sichuan, Chongqing and Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai markets are expected to maintain a steady growth. Beijing, Dalian and other northern cities are looking forward to a strong recovery.



散客市场强势依旧,团队市场带来惊喜

去年由于疫情,国内旅行团业务暂停。国内酒店以散客为主。其中OTA及酒店直接预定占比超75%。


今年散客自由行市场依旧扮演主导地位,演唱会,音乐节等大型活动将刺激散客市场复苏。同时我们对重启的团队市场抱有极大期待。


In 2020, Domestic Group Tour business was almost entirely suspended due to COVID-19. As a result, the majority of business came from individual customers, reflected in over 75% of business coming from OTAs and hotel direct bookings. 


For 2021, we can expect domestic Group Tour business to return the market this year, and the increase in concerts, music festivals and other social events will further stimulate retail market recovery.
