中国北京，2024年11月26日——世界领先的能源化工公司沙特阿美，在北京为“投入新可能，球场改造计划”首期改造竣工的三块公共篮球场举办揭幕仪式。“投入新可能，球场改造计划”由沙特阿美发起，旨在支持中国篮球运动及社区的健康发展，该计划采用创新技术和先进工艺对公众篮球场进行升级改造，其中最关键的球场地板部分采用回收塑料材料制造。

“投入新可能，球场改造计划”旨在展现先进材料在低碳循环发展经济体系中越来越重要的作用，同时也是沙特阿美通过体育运动全力支持中国社会与青年健康发展的重要举措之一。
在“投入新可能，球场改造计划”中，沙特阿美与旗下控股化工企业沙特基础工业公司（SABIC），以及东京、巴黎奥运会3X3篮球地板独家供应商英利奥（ENLIO）展开了密切合作。英利奥专门研发了先进材料配方，采用SABIC提供的回收塑料颗粒作为篮球地板的主要材料组分。
首期加入“投入新可能，球场改造计划”进行升级改造的，是在中国篮球发展中极具标志性的北京东单篮球场。以此为起点，沙特阿美希望与合作伙伴持续深化合作，将球场改造计划推广到中国各地的更多球场。

"Shoot for the Future” court revamp project uses recycled materials to renovate public basketball courts
Project is part of Aramco’s long-standing presence in China and partnership with the Chinese Basketball Association League

Beijing, China, November 26, 2024--Aramco, one of the world’s leading integrated energy and chemicals companies, has unveiled the first three renovated community basketball courts in Beijing, China. These courts are part of Aramco’s “Shoot for the Future” basketball court revamp project, with the goal of injecting new energy into community basketball in China. The courts are built with innovative and advanced materials, with the flooring made partly from recycled plastic.

The project aims to showcase the increasingly important role that advanced materials can play in a circular carbon economy, while helping with Aramco’s objective to support and empower communities and youth through sports.
To bring the project to life, Aramco has worked closely with its chemical arm, the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), and Enlio, which is the exclusive supplier of 3x3 basketball floors for the Tokyo and Paris Olympics. Enlio has innovatively developed a customized advanced material formula using SABIC's advanced recycled plastic as the main material component.
The first three courts have been renovated in Dongdan, the iconic Chinese basketball neighborhood in Beijing. In order to drive the project forward, Aramco will continue working with its partners, aspiring to build courts across the country.
The completion of these courts is another key milestone for Aramco in China. This project represents Aramco’s commitment as a reliable partner in China, our leadership in technology and innovation, and our goal of delivering positive impact in society through sports. Our investments in the conversion of hydrocarbons to essential materials aim to aid in achieving economic and social progress – both in China and around the globe.
