Research Fellow Position in CO2 Electroreduction
A postdoc position is available at the Surface and Interface Lab lead by Prof. Chen Wei at National University of Singapore. The project goal is to develop advanced electrocatalytic systems for selective CO2 reduction to valuable C2+ alcohols (such as ethanol and propanol) with high faradaic efficiency and long-term stability.
The selected candidate will work together with a multidisciplinary team comprising experts in catalyst design, electrochemical reactor engineering, in-situ spectroscopy characterization, and techno-economic analysis using state-of-the-art experimental facilities.
Requirements:
The candidate shall recently obtain PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related fields with substantial experience in:
·Electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR)
·Electrocatalyst synthesis and characterization
·Experience with flow cell and MEA set-up preferred
·In-situ/operando spectroscopy methods preferred
·Experience with C2+ product formation mechanisms is highly desirable
Recruitment Package:
·1-year initial contract with possibility of extension
·Salary: $69,000-85,000/year commensurate with experience, comprehensive benefits and performance bonus
·Research funding support for conference presentations and collaborations
Position is immediately available from December 2025 onwards.
