SIS (styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer), known as the new “3rd generation synthetic rubber”, belongs to styrene thermoplastic elastomer with the characteristics of both plastic and rubber. Its main feedstock is styrene and isoprene, and it is produced via the technology of anionic solution polymerization. SIS is mainly used in HMPSA.
