Double Star Won the Title of Advanced Enterprise

Double Star Tire Company won the title of “2016 Shandong Advanced Enterprise of Energy Conservation” and was praised by the Shandong Provincial Government.

Following the tide of relocation for environment protection, the Double Star Group mainly focused on new technology, new equipment and new products. It launched and implemented several energy saving projects, such as photovoltaic planning, heat recovery planning and new technology of nitrogen vulcanization. Meanwhile, it wrote its own Energy Conservation and Low Carbon-dioxide Consumption Plan in the 13th Five-Year Plan Period.

Besides, Double Star Group set up a leading group for energy saving and energy consumption reduction. An energy management office was also set up, mainly in charge of the daily energy management. All manufacturing departments also established energy management teams. A three-level energy management network was formed. From the group institution design to daily production management, and to technology innovation, the group strengthened the energy management, making it a pioneer in energy saving in the process of tire producing and designing.

Beyond its own efforts in energy consumption, the company also sought cooperation with other organizations. Recently, Qingdao University of Science and Technology and Double Star Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Both parties would jointly build a green tire research institute. By utilizing their unique advantages, the two parties would promote the transformation of scientific research results to industrial utilization, training of talents, and construction of training base. The ultimate goal was to achieve intelligent manufacturing of tires and the industry transformation and upgrading. Mr. Ma Lianxiang, President of Qingdao University of Science and Technology, said that the school would further develop the strengths in talents and scientific research, so as to contribute to the development of Double Star Group.
