
Gazprom Plans to Export Sakhalin's Piped Gas to China

Russia’s NOC Gazprom plans to drag a natural gas pipeline from its Sakhalin gas field to China via Sakhalin–Khabarovsk–Vladivostok pipeline as the second piped gas export project between Russia and China in areasof the Power of Siberia (Yakutia–Khabarovsk–Vladivostok pipeline).
It is believed that Gazprom, under U.S. sanctions on underwater exploitation equipment, is likely to proceed the production expansion so as to fulfill the export by using equipment made in China on the offshore Yuzhno-Kirinskoye field, and the test run is expected to finish in 2019 and commercial operation by 2023. The Sakhalin–Khabarovsk–Vladivostok pipeline will be expanded to 20 bcma of delivery capacity simultaneously.
