Benzene Supply-Demand Pattern to Change in Year-End 2018

The benzene market showed average performance in H1, 2018. By comparison, the market enjoyed large rises in Q3 underpinned by fairish supply-demand fundamentals. Therefore, the supply-demand fundamentals hold significant power to the benzene market, thus, some units undergoing long-time closures are closely attached. For example, will the aniline units at Shandong Jinling Chemical restart? Will the aromatics units at Fujian Fuhaichuang Petrochemical restart? When will the new capacity at PetroChina North China Petrochemical be released?

In general, the overall supply-demand pattern of benzene will change in China from the end of 2018. The supply volume will go higher then, as the integrated refining and chemical capacity will be further released.
