Russian PVC Price Increased Further in H2 August

Sources said that some Russian Producers announced an increase in the prices of SPVC supplied to China this week by Ruble 1,000-1,500/mt ($14.81-22.21/mt).

Russian buyers had to accept the fact that PVC prices rose by Ruble 3,000/mt in early August from July, even as producers initially tried to achieve a Ruble 4,000/mt price increase.

Many Russian producers have announced that the prices of SPVC for deliveries in August will rise by Ruble 1,500/mt from Aug 15.

SPVC prices have continued to rise in the overseas markets over the past few weeks, particularly in China. As of mid-August, the export price of PVC in China has increased by $30/mt from July.

In August, the depreciation of Ruble against USD has seriously affected the prices of PVC in Russia. Some Russia producers announced price increases for PVC in September. Compared with the beginning of August, the total increase in PVC prices will reach Ruble 2,000/mt.
