Auto Diesel Covering 58.7%

China Central Environmental Protection Inspection Team took the “look back” action in Shandong Province. In theaction, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment showed that the consumption of general-purpose diesel and high-sulphur fuel oil was still at a high level in Shandong. After that, Shandong governments began to take measures to cut the consumption of general-purpose diesel and high-sulphur fuel oil. First, the refineries with no necessary licenses will be closed. Second, refineries will not be allowed to sell general-purpose diesel and high-sulphur fuel to logistics companies. Third, no companies, industrial zones or construction site will be allowed to use general-purpose diesel and high-sulphur fuel oil.Fourth, the storage and transportation of general-purpose diesel andhigh-sulphur fuel oil will be prohibited. Fifth, the petrol stations with nonecessary licenses will be closed.

Actually, with the upgrade of refined oil quality, the production of automobile diesel is taking a bigger proportion inthe production of Shandong independent refineries’ diesel production. As of November, the production of automobile diesel took up around 58.7% of the independent refineries’ total diesel production. In December, some independent refineries, such as Jincheng Petrochemical and Shouguang Lianmeng Petrochemical, stopped the production and marketing of general-purpose diesel.
