Hainan Rubber to Establish Special NR Lab with BIAM

On the morning of November 13, Hainan Rubber Group and AVIC Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials (hereinafter referred to as “BIAM”) signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Haikou to set up a special joint NR laboratory and unveiled the nameplate. It is heard that the two sides will use NR as a substrate material to develop special functional NR and derivative products which could be used in fields such as aviation, aerospace, shipping and high-speed train through chemical and physical modification and enhance the product diversity, added value, brand influence and international competitiveness of Hainan Rubber Group.

Wang Renfei, Chairman of Hainan Rubber Group, said that this cooperation is not only a sincere cooperation of mutual complementarity, resource sharing andmutual benefit, but also indicates that the development and application of China's aviation technology will be seamlessly joint with China's best NR producer and supplier. The two parties will jointly develop and build world-class aviation brands such as aviation materials and aviation products with the highest quality NR resources and the most stringent process standards. It is hoped that both sides will work together to build a most advanced technology research and scientific and technological achievements transformation platform, a first-class special NR material research base in China, a talent training base, and an excellent model for cooperation between the scientific institution and enterprises in the field of NR.
