Shandong Civil-Use Gas Prices to Inch down in December

The civil-use gas prices in Shandong fluctuated downward from Q4, 2018. Although the civil-use gas prices slightly rebounded in late November, most market participants held bearish sentiment towards the civil-use gas market due to the crashed international crude oil prices. Recently, the civil-use gas prices in Shandong started to decline.

The international crude oil prices crashed from November, weighing on the market sentiment. Moreover, downstream users showed tepid interests in purchasing resources. Although the sales of civil-use gas improved somewhat for a short time, the overall sales pressure remained high. According to the tradition, the state-owned refineries might intend to maintain firm prices, when the civil-use gas prices were quite low. Given the costs and the overall downstream sentiment, the overall trading atmosphere remained sluggish.
