Dalian Hengli Petrochemical is predicted to achieve scale PX production on March 25, in line with enough inventory of feedstock MX. Its oil products had gone into the stage of sales. If its PX project fails to go into operation, PX prices will likely rise.

Sinochem Hongrun Petrochemical had finished the construction of its PX project. However, the start-up time will likely be postponed given the weak performance in related sectors, such as its production planning and talks with downstream customers.

The left projects with the capacity of 8,500kt/a are predicted to go into operation in H2, 2019 or Q4.

Seen from the short run, the PX supply will remain tight in China. However, entering H2, 2019, the oversupply will happen.
