150kt/a PO Project at Jiangsu Yida Chemical Conducted EIA

According to sources, Jiangsu Yida Chemical Co., Ltd. plans to build the 150kt/a PO unit at Taixing Economic Development Zone, and the annual output of the by-product propane will reach 2,095mt.

Main unit: PO reactor, PO tower, heat exchanger, etc.

Project investment: 1.025 billion RMB

After the project is completely put into operation, the annual output of PO, hydrogen peroxide (60%), propane and propylene glycol ether will reach 150kt, 180kt, 2,095mt and 4,000mt respectively. Therein, the 2,095mt of propane resources will be supplied to the civil-use gas market.

There is no large-scale refinery in Taixing, so most downstream users use the imported LPG resources from Jiangsu Sanmu Logistics storage, China Gas Jingjiang storage and Oriental Energy (Zhangjiagang) New Material storage, aggravating the cost pressure on the end sellers in East China. Moreover, the LPG supply at Sanmu storage and Jingjiang storage is unstable, exerting some impacts on the operation of end users.

Besides, there will be a 1,200kt/a PDH unit put into operation at Taixing Economic Development Zone, so the merchantable volume of imported propane will obviously increase. Accordingly, SCI reckons that Taixing will supply more resources to the market in the next 2-3 years.
