Sep China Mixed Aromatics Import Volume Dropped
In September, China’s downstream demand for mixed aromatics underperformed, and the inventory at traders and downstream users was at a relatively high level. As a consequence, China’s monthly mixed aromatics import volume declined to 510.26kt, down 13.71% M-O-M and up 222.51% Y-O-Y.
In terms of the origins of imported mixed aromatics, in September, China’s mixed aromatics import volume from Malaysia ranked the first place at 217.38kt, accounting for 42.6% of China’s total. The import volume from Singapore ranked the second place at 137.33kt, accounting for 26.91% of China’s total. The import volume from Brunei ranked the third place at 89.29kt, taking up 17.50% of China’s total.
As for the trade mode of mixed aromatics imports, in September, China’s mixed aromatics import volume via general ranked accounted for 87.39% of the total, and that via the trade mode of inbound and outbound goods in bonded zones took up 12.07% of the total.
