Sinopec Tianjin Receives 58 Cargoes in H1 2020
Sinopec Tianjin Nangang LNG receiving terminal recorded 58 LNG cargoes in the first half of 2020, a new speed record of Sinopec and all China terminals. The terminal unloaded 3.79 million tons of LNG in six months, especially considering the impact of the coronavirus in the first quarter, it is incredible that the terminal still achieved a 28% Y-O-Y growth.
Also, Sinopec Tianjin recorded the fastest 200 cargo receiving time from its test running in February 2018 to July 5, 2020, and the terminal imported over 13.25 million tons in total in the 880 days.
According to Sinopec, the second phase expansion project of Tianjin Terminal has been accelerated from 2019. The regasification facility of the second phase has been put into operation from November 30, 2019, and the other part, including five 220,000 cbm tanks and the second full-size berth, has been put into construction from April 5, 2020, and is expected to run by 2022. By then, the receiving capacity of the terminal will surpass 10 Mtpa, so as to provide further support to Sinopec’s North China natural gas grid and the source of Sinopec’s Wen-23 and Wen-96 underground facilities.
