Qing-Ning Pipeline to Supply Nanjing with Qingdao Terminal Regas
On December 15, 2020, the regasified natural gas from Sinopec Qingdao LNG receiving terminal was input into the newly built Qing-Ning natural gas pipeline’s starting point Boli Station, and the natural gas will be delivered through over 536 kilometers to Jiangsu Province’s Nanjing.
The new main trunk pipeline Qing-Ning pipeline started from Shandong’s Qingdao to Jiangsu’s Nanjing, and it was originally designed to connect Sinopec’s North China natural gas grid and Sichuan-to-East main pipeline with delivery capacity at 7.2 bcma. As one of the first batch of assets transferred from Sinopec to PipeChina, the project was successfully completed after over 500 days of construction and ran into service by December 15. As a key project of interconnection and unified supply strategy, Qing-Ning pipeline will further combine North China and East China together to fully utilize resources from CAP and marine LNG imports and help natural gas supply security to some extent.
