China LPG Import Saw Decline in September 2020
According to sources, China’s LPG import volume was 1,779.83kt in September, down 7.24% M-O-M but up 0.63% Y-O-Y.

As seen from the table above, China’s LPG import volume in September decreased by 139kt M-O-M but increased by 11.1kt Y-O-Y. Therein, the propane import volume was 1,349.39kt, down 1.34% M-O-M but up 6.94% Y-O-Y. Moreover, the import volume of butane was 430.44kt in September, down 21.64% M-O-M and 14.04% Y-O-Y. Meanwhile, China’s import volume of other olefins was 0.000006kt, nearly down 100% M-O-M and 100% Y-O-Y.

According to China Customs, China imported LPG mainly from the U.S., Oman, Qatar, the U.A.E. and Kuwait. The imported LPG volume from the U.S. reached 696.4kt, ranking first. Hereinto, the import volume of propane was 600.8kt, and that of butane was 95.6kt. Meanwhile, China imported 260.2kt of LPG from Oman, including 162.3kt of propane and 97.9kt of butane. Besides, volume of LPG imported from Qatar was 197kt, including 154.1kt of propane and 42.8kt of butane.
