China’s PE Output Analysis in Feb
Preface: In February 2021, China’s PE output was 1,799.5kt, down 8.88% M-O-M but up 17.68% Y-O-Y. It is predicted that the output will increase in March, affected by the longer production time, but the growth will be limited, given the maintenance at Sinopec Yanshan Petrochemical and Sinopec Maoming Petrochemical.
According to the statistics of SCI, China’s PE output totaled 1,799.5kt in February 2021, down 8.88% M-O-M but up 17.68% Y-O-Y. Therein, the output of LLDPE was 749.7kt, down 12.33% M-O-M, but up 10.92% Y-O-Y. The output of LDPE was 266.4kt, down 6.88% M-O-M but up 21.38% Y-O-Y. The output of HDPE was 783.4kt, down 4.38% M-O-M but up 28.14% Y-O-Y. From January to February 2021, China’s total PE output reached 3,774.4kt, up 18.52% Y-O-Y.
