Jul ESBR Operating Rate Declined
Up to the end of July 2021, China’s ESBR producers amounted to 11, with a capacity of 1,470kt/a. The samples cover all ESBR producers in China.
The monthly average operating rate of China’s ESBR industry was 69.95% in July, up 2.63% M-O-M and down 3.59% Y-O-Y. This month, the operating rate at Hangzhou Yibang Rubber tended to be 100%. PetroChina Jilin Petrochemical restarted the unit. The operating rate at Shen Hua Chemical Industrial increased, and that at Zhejiang Vitile Rubber declined. On the whole, the monthly average operating rate of China’s ESBR industry edged up in July.
In July, the units at PetroChina Jilin Petrochemical and Hangzhou Yibang Rubber were restarted. The operating rate at Shen Hua Chemical Industrial increased M-O-M, and that at Zhejiang Vitile Rubber decreased, due to the feedstock butadiene problem. The operating rate at Sinopec Qilu Company, Nanjing Yangzi Petrochemical and Rubber, PetroChina Fushun Petrochemical and Bridgestone (Huizhou) Synthetic Rubber was stable M-O-M. The units at Tianjin Lugang Petroleum Rubber and Fujian Fuxiang Chemical remained shut.
