Propylene Unit Status Needs to Be Focused on
From the end of May to June, China’s propylene and downstream units ran unstably, especially in Shandong and North China, which had great impacts on the propylene market. Therefore, the fluctuation range of propylene prices widened. Although players have paid more attention to the policies such as the environmental protection policy, the changes in supply and demand are still focused on.
The propylene market supply gradually increased as overhaul units resumed production.
In the middle and second half of May, China’s propylene market supply grew as the PHD units in North China and the propylene units at Haoye Chemical, Shenyang Chemical, PetroChina Fushun Petrochemical, Ningbo Kingfa Advanced Materials and CNOOC Ningbo Daxie Petrochemical resumed production. The shortage of propylene resources outside Shandong was eased, so the price spread between Shandong and Northeast China gradually returned to normal.
