Capacity Release and Unit Restarting to Push Q4 PP Supply Up
Preface: PP monthly output saw a narrow variation in the third quarter of 2021. In terms of diversified category, the output of PP raffia and copolymer (low MFR) decreased in August, while that of homo injection and BOPP mounted up.
Over the past several months, the overall supply of PP grew within a narrow range because of concentrated maintenance in Q2 and Q3, even though there were newly added units put into use successively. At producers, the supply pressure performed comfortably.
For PP output by category, the output of PP raffia, fiber, copolymer (low MFR), TPP and PPB pipe materials decreased in August, while that of homo injection, BOPP, CPP, copolymer (high MFR) and PPR pipe materials mounted up. The output loss due to the maintenance climbed notably in August because of concentrated maintenance.
