PE Production Analysis
According to SCI, China’s PE output totaled 2,003.4kt, up 41.1kt or 2.09% M-O-M. In November, the capacity involved in the maintenance reached 6680kt, and the output loss was around 166.2kt, down 26.6kt M-O-M.
According to SCI, the domestic PE output in November was 2,003.4kt, a Y-O-Y increase of 223.2kt or 12.54% and an M-O-M increase of 2.09%. In November, the units which were shut down for maintenance reduced compared with last month. The output loss was reduced, so the output went up. As for the operating rate, the operating rate of the PE industry was around 84.94%, up 3.5% M-O-M, thanks to the restart of units.
As for regional distribution, the output in Northwest China increased notably, increasing by 68kt M-O-M. The output in North China, East China and Central China inched up by 24kt, 11kt and 6kt respectively. The output in South China, Northeast China and Southwest China inched down, due to the maintenance at some producers.
