PP Production Dynamics by Grade
At Levima Group, the 200kt/a polypropylene (PP) unit produces PPH-M600X. The 80kt/a unit of second line was stopped temporarily for maintenance on May 23, and the restarting time is undetermined. Posted offer for PPH-M600X at this company was RMB 9,400/mt this week.
Dongguan Juzhengyuan Technology is a mixed-ownership company controlled by Guangdong GW Holdings Group. In 2016, the company began to invest in the construction of a PDH plant, with an annual propylene output of 600kt propylene, which is matched with 600kt/a PP project (using UNIPOL process). The phase I project has two production lines with 600kt/a capacity. Therein, the first line with 300kt/a capacity produces PPH-Y25L, and the second line with 300kt/a capacity produces GG02N. As of now, Dongguan Juzhengyuan Technology mainly produces PP raffia, injection and fiber, which are directly sold to downstream enterprises.
Liaoning Bora Petrochemical Company is located in Panjin City, Liaoning Province. It has a PP plant with an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons. The plant is currently operating normally. The first line (200,000 tons/year) produces EP300R, and the second line (400,000 tons/year) produces HP550J.
PetroChina Liaoyang Petrochemical’s 300kt/a PP unit produces LHP456J, and the products are sold by PetroChina.
Qinghai Salt Lake Industry begins to operate its 160kt/a unit, which produces L5E89.
Zhejiang Petroleum & Chemical arranged maintenance for its 450kt/a 1PP unit on April 25, which was projected to resume production in June. The 2PP unit with 450kt/a capacity underwent maintenance on May 5, which was also supposed to be restarted in June. The 450kt/a 3PP unit and 450kt/a 4PP unit produce HP500N and HP550J respectively.
At Shaanxi Yanchang Coal Yulin Energy and Chemical, the first production line with 300kt/a capacity produces PPR-MT400B, the second one with 300kt/a capacity produces K1870-B, and the third line with 400kt/a capacity (belonging to phase II project) produces EP300K.
Yunnan Yuntianhua Group’s 150kt/a PP unit is switched over to producing M065N. Major grades produced by the company include raffia S003G, film F003G, injection M011G, homo injection (used in fruit basket) M006G, thin-walled injection M065N, CPP RC006G, random transparent PP RM023T, cigarette plastic film RF003T, fiber Y025G and Y035O, as well as milky tea materials RM060T. They are sold by offline agencies.
