CNCEC & Russia Baltic Methanol Signs the World’s Largest Methanol Project
China National Chemical Engineering No. 7 Construction Co., Ltd., the wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. (CNCEC), and Russia’s Baltic Methanol Co., Ltd. recently signed the world’s largest methanol project contract, with a total contract value of 8.4 billion euros, equivalent to RMB 65.05 billion Yuan. This project is the second largest contract value project signed by ChemChina overseas after the successful implementation of the "100-billion-dollar order" in the Baltic Sea. It is also the largest contract value project for Chinese enterprises to "go global" since 2020.
The Russian Baltic Natural Gas to Methanol Chemical Complex Project is located in Ustruga Town, St. Petersburg City, Leningrad Region, Russian Federation. The construction content mainly includes the construction of a natural gas to methanol unit with an annual capacity of 5 million tons and the external infrastructure of the unit. The contract period is 48 months. After the project is completed, it will greatly promote local economic and social development.
CNCEC provides engineering construction services from front-end engineering design to detailed engineering design, procurement and construction of the general contract project. At the same time, it will also actively promote the export of Chinese technology and equipment, and vigorously promote the sale of methanol products to China.
