According to China’s General Administration of Customs (GACC), China’s natural gas imports in November 2025, including piped gas import and LNG import, totaled 11.95 MMt, up 22.23% MOM and up 10.69% YOY. The average import cost was $420.98/mt ($8.10/MMBtu), down 0.92% MOM and down 14.30% YOY.
China’s YTD import volume by 2025 totaled 114.48 MMt, down 4.70% YOY, and China’s YTD import cost by 2025 totaled 50.87 billion USD.
According to the AIS monitoring, China’s LNG imports stood at 6.20 MMt in November 2025, up 7.57% MOM and up 0.82% YOY. Please note that there are differences between the AIS data and customs data that may be caused by the pre-clearance or delayed clearance documented progress, free-bond cargo clearance, historical data backtrace and revision, etc.
