本季是Arete女性冲破束缚的一季。带着现代版花木兰的隐喻，无所畏惧意味着女性可以卸下自身防备，摆脱束缚，直面于自由的内心。在风的环绕下，她发现可以欣然接受自己一切的女性特质。在展现力量与独立性的同时，她流露出巧妙细腻的一面更具吸引力。
This season, the Arete woman breaks free of all restraints. Alluding to a modern-day Mulan, Unbridled represents a woman dismantling her armor, shedding restriction, and riding liberated. Enveloped by the wind, she finds herself empowered to embrace both her all aspects of her femininity. She embodies strength and independence while still summoning sophistication and softness.

本季系列的灵感源于亚裔美籍艺术家 Tracie Cheng 创作的“Spirit Descends” 、“Above the Depths” 等传达与 ARETE 极为相似的美学主张的艺术作品。
Inspirations are drawn from Asian American artist, Tracie Cheng’s artworks such as “Spirit Descends” and “Above the Depths” which conveys a parallel aesthetic as Arete.

“I was immediately drawn to the movement and thought how amazing it would be to see it flow in the wind.”
说起ARETE 2017春／夏季系列作品“在风中”主题背后的设计灵感来源，Christina Liao回忆起她第一次看到美籍亚裔艺术家Tracie Cheng的作品时对她的触动——交织的网纹、空灵飘渺的景观，在二维空间之中却创造了三维的视觉。
Christina Liao, Head Designer for womenswear fashion brand Arete, remembers the moment she first saw the work of Asian American artist Tracie Cheng, whose textured, ethereal landscapes create three-dimensional spaces of two-dimensional surfaces. When she was describing the fabric inspiration behind Arete’s ‘Windswept’ themed Spring / Summer 2017 collection.
