Global Synthetic Rubber Output and Growth Analysis

According to IRSG, the total output of rubber was 28.59 million mt in 2017 worldwide, up 4.2% Y-O-Y. Hereinto, the output of synthetic rubber (SR) was 15.051 million mt, up 1.4% Y-O-Y. That accounted for 52.6% of the total. According to SCI, the global growth rates of SR output in the past 3 years were 1.5%-2.5%. Those of SR consumption volume were 1.5%-2.5%, and that in 2017 fell by 1% Y-O-Y.
